Kids today are tech-hungry. Long gone are the days when your 4 year old was happy with a ball and a stick. How do you know what technology is good for your little budding genius?
Here are a few of my favorites in no particular order:
Leapfrog’s Leapster Explorer – great for kids from 3 to 8 and offers a wide range of educational and fun games for boys and girls. Also has a built in e-reader and can transform into a camera. Is this new to you? Catch up here
iPod Touch – Great for little fingers, fairly durable and has a long battery life. Stores all their favorite music and easy for parents to control.
Tri-Bot – This little 3 wheeled robot is great for older kids. He’s remote controlled and has a fun personality that kids will love.
Net-Books – Little tiny laptop computers with most of the same features mom and dad have. Can be set up like a standard PC and governed for safe internet browsing. A full QWERTY keyboard lets little one learn to type, a skill that will be imperative as they enter school.
Nook -Available as a color e-reader this device will make reading fun for kids.
It’s important for us parents to help our children learn about technology as it isn’t going away any time soon!
